Serpaize is a French commune with 1,939 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Isère department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region . It belongs to the arrondissement of Vienne and the canton of Vienne-1 (until 2015: canton of Vienne-Nord ).
geography
Serpaize is located about five kilometers northeast of Vienne and about 23 kilometers south-southeast of Lyon . Serpaize is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Villette-de-Vienne in the north, Luzinay in the northeast, Septème in the east, Pont-Évêque in the south, Vienne in the southwest and Chuzelles in the west and northwest.
