Saint-Geoirs is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Saint-Étienne-de-Saint-Geoirs in the north, Plan in the east, La Forteresse in the south-east, Quincieu in the south and south-east, Saint-Michel-de-Saint-Geoirs in the south, Brion in the south and southwest and Saint-Pierre-de-Bressieux to the west.
