Saint-Alban-du-Rhône is a French municipality with 842 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes ; it belongs to the arrondissement Vienne and the canton Vienne-2 (until 2015: canton Roussillon ).

Saint-Alban-du-Rhône is the westernmost municipality in the Isère department. It is located about 13 kilometers south-southwest of Vienne on the Rhône , into which the Varèze flows here. Saint-Alban-du-Rhône is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Chavanay in the north and west, Saint-Clair-du-Rhône in the east and north-east, Clonas-sur-Varèze in the east and Saint-Maurice-l'Exil in the south and south-east.
This is where the Saint-Alban nuclear power plant is located , where an incident occurred in July 2008.
