Jörg Schuster (* 1969 ) is a German literary scholar .

life and work

Schuster studied modern German literature , general rhetoric and philosophy . From 1997 to 2000 he belonged to the DFG - Graduate College Classicism and Romanticism in a European Context. The aesthetic invention of modernity at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen . In 2001 he was with a thesis on German elegy the second half of the 18th century at the University of Tübingen doctorate . From 2001 to 2007 he was a research assistant at the German Literature Archive in Marbach . There he was involved in the publication of the diaries of Harry Graf Kessler . In addition, from 2003 to 2007 he was a lecturer at the seminar for general rhetoric at the University of Tübingen. From 2007 to 2010 and 2012/13 he was a research assistant with Moritz Baßler at the German Institute of the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster and from 2010 to 2012 research assistant to Thomas Anz at the Institute for Modern German Literature at the Philipps University of Marburg , where he worked in 2012 qualified as a professor. From 2015 to 2016 he worked as a research assistant at the TU Braunschweig with Renate Stauf , in 2014/15 and from 2016 to 2017 he was a professor for modern German literature at the Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main .
