Seyssuel is a French commune with 2,003 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Isère department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region . It belongs to the arrondissement of Vienne and the canton of Vienne-1 (until 2015: canton of Vienne-Nord ).

geography

Seyssuel is located around 22 kilometers south of Lyon on the Rhône . Seyssuel is surrounded by the neighboring communities Communay in the north, Chuzelles in the east and northeast, Vienne in the south and southeast, Saint-Romain-en-Gal in the south and southwest, Loire-sur-Rhône in the west and Chasse-sur-Rhône in the northwest.

The A7 autoroute leads through the municipality along the course of the river and Route nationale 7 on the eastern edge of the municipality.
