The Communauté d'agglomération du Pays Viennois , also known as ViennAgglo , is a former association of municipalities in the French department of Isère , whose administrative seat was in the eponymous city of Vienne on the banks of the Rhône . The community association founded in 2001 consisted of 18 communities on an area of ​​275.2 km ² . Located on the western edge of the Isère department, he included Saint-Romain-en-Gal, a municipality that belonged to the Rhône department , and the association was thus built up across departments. The Communauté d'agglomération determined housing policy, promoted social housing and organized local public transport and school bus transport. Historical development

With effect from January 1, 2018, the community association merged with the Communauté de communes de la Région de Condrieu in the neighboring Rhône department and thus formed the successor organization Communauté d'agglomération Vienne Condrieu .
