Jazz à Vienne
Jazz à Vienne is a Jazz - Festival in Vienne (Isère) , near Lyon in France .
The festival has been taking place for two weeks in June and July since 1981. There are concerts every evening in the ancient Roman theater of Vienne. In the past, musicians such as Miles Davis , Stan Getz , Michel Petrucciani , Ella Fitzgerald , Sonny Rollins , Lionel Hampton , Dee Dee Bridgewater , Chuck Berry , Ike Turner and Brad Mehldau were among the performers . Many musicians like to come back, Herbie Hancock has been to Vienne more than a dozen times. In addition to the main concerts, there are smaller concerts on other stages in the city, as well as concerts in pubs and musical parades. Jazz musicians perform here, some of whom come from the region.
