Semons is a town and a Déléguée commune in the French municipality of Porte-des-Bonnevaux with 362 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . The inhabitants are called Semonois .
On January 1st, 2019, the municipality of Semons merged with Nantoin , Commelle and Arzay to form the Commune nouvelle Porte-des-Bonnevaux. It belonged to the Vienne arrondissement and was part of the canton of Bièvre (until 2015: canton of La Côte-Saint-André ). The community belonged to the Communauté de communes Bièvre Isère .

Semons is 40 kilometers southeast of Lyon . The municipality of Semons was surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Lieudieu in the north and northwest, Châtonnay in the north and northeast, Commelle in the east, Ornacieux in the south and Arzay in the west.
