The DINFIA IA 45 was a light twin-engine transport aircraft produced by the Argentine manufacturer DINFIA .

History and construction

The IA 45 was designed as a cantilevered shoulder-decker, which was powered by two Lycoming O-320 boxer engines with pusher propellers and had a retractable nose wheel landing gear. The metal airplane had a fuselage rising towards the tail and a double vertical tail. The first prototype took off on its maiden flight on September 23, 1957. The machine offered space for a pilot and four passengers. The second prototype had more powerful Lycoming O-360 boxer engines and had space for 5 passengers.
