The FMA I.Ae. 32 Chingolo was a trainer aircraft made by the Argentinian manufacturer Fábrica Argentina de Aviones .

history

The Chingolo was a further development of the I.Ae. 31 Colibrí by Ernesto Vicente from the Instituto Aerotécnico . The "Chingolo" was also to be produced for the Argentine aeroclubs. However, after only one prototype, the project was abandoned.

construction

The machine was a cantilever low-wing aircraft in a conventional configuration, with a closed tandem cockpit and fixed tail wheel landing gear. The fuselage consisted of a tubular steel construction and, like the wooden wings, was covered with fabric. The machine had a conventional tail unit and was powered by a Blackburn Cirrus Major 3 piston engine with 115 kW.
