Didier-Léon Marchand (born November 1, 1925 in La Chapelle-de-Surieu ) is former bishop of Valence .

Life

Didier-Léon Marchand was ordained a priest on May 19, 1951 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Valence on September 8, 1978.

The Bishop of Grenoble , Gabriel-Marie-Joseph Matagrin , donated him episcopal ordination on November 5th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Michel Louis Marie Joseph Mondésert , Auxiliary Bishop in Grenoble, and Jean Hermil , Bishop of Viviers .

On December 11, 2001, Pope John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
