Franz Pfitscher
Franz Pfitscher (born October 3, 1930 in Taormina ; † February 26, 2009 ) was an Austrian boxer and Olympic participant from 1952. He is the father of boxer Robert Pfitscher , who took part in the 1980 Olympic Games.
Franz Pfitscher was Austrian light heavyweight champion in 1952, 1953 and 1955, and Austrian heavyweight champion in 1958. In 1952 he took part in the 15th Olympic Games in Helsinki , where he lost on points in the round of 16 against Poland's Tadeusz Grzelak and thus reached 9th place.
