Franz Riebenbauer

Franz Riebenbauer (born December 4, 1946 in Pinggau ) is an Austrian farmer and politician ( ÖVP ). Riebenbauer has been a member of the Styrian state parliament since 1991 and lives in Pinggau. He is married and has three daughters and a son.

education and profession

After attending primary and secondary school in Pinggau and Friedberg graduated Riebenbauer 1960-1963 rural training in Pinggau and Friedberg and then a three-year agricultural correspondence school attended from 1963 to 1966. Riebenbauer also did his military service between 1965 and 1966 with the 19 Jägerbataillon in Pinkafeld .

Riebenbauer runs a small farm with his wife that covers around eleven hectares and has an average of ten dairy cows.

politics

Riebenbauer was the founding chairman of the Styrian rural youth in Pinggau in 1965 and in 1966 took over the role of parish and deanery leader of the Catholic youth . From 1978 to 1989 he held the office of a regional chamber council, in 1980 he was elected to the local council. He then held the office of Vice Mayor from 1980 to 1996 and was also chairman of the district chamber for agriculture and forestry between 1989 and 1991. After Riebenbauer was elected as a member of the Styrian state parliament in 1991, he was promoted to deputy club chairman in 1995.

Riebenbauer has also been the local farmers 'council in Pinggau since 1975 and took over the office of local farmers' council chairman in 1985. He has also been the district chairman of the Bauernbund since 1989 and has also been the district chairman of the ÖVP district party since 1996. He has also been chairman of the Development Promotion Association since 1999 and was chairman of the biomass heating plant in Pinggau from 1990 to 2007.
