Franz Rigler

Franz Rigler , often also Franz Riegler , (born March 23, 1839 in Ziersdorf , † April 18, 1914 , ibid) was an Austrian politician . He was mayor of Ziersdorf and from 1884 to 1902 a member of the Lower Austrian Landtag and from 1891 to 1901 a member of the Reichsrat in Austria .

Life

Rigler was a business owner and operated the brick kiln Ziersdorf VII from 1884 .

Rigler was mayor of Ziersdorf from 1879 to 1888.

In 1884 he was able to beat the previous MP Anton Ruf and in 1884 he entered the Lower Austrian state parliament as a representative for Horn, Eggenburg, Geras, Ravelsbach and Retz. As a representative of the rural communities he was a member of the Reichrat, where he was in the VII. And XI. Legislative period represented the Korneuburg / Hollabrunn / Horn region. In 1890 and 1896 he was re-elected. In 1896 he was also supported by the Christian Socials as part of the “anti-Semitic electoral community”. In the Reichsrat he belonged to the National Party.
