Franz Rosskopf

Franz Roßkopf (* 1824 - † August 17, 1916 ) was an innkeeper, savings bank director and mayor in Kirchberg am Wagram .

Life

Roßkopf was initially an official of the local savings bank and then took over its management, which he held for almost 40 years.

Rosskopf was married and had five children.

politics

Between 1870 and 1900 he held the office of mayor. During his terms of office, the place was extensively redesigned and renewed. Several brick bridges were built, numerous streets and paths were expanded and the old school building on the church square including the teacher's apartment was built.

Awards

He was an honorary citizen of Kirchberg am Wagram and of Bierbaum am Kleebühel and, since 1890, he was a holder of the Golden Cross of Merit , an award personally awarded by Kaiser.
