Franz Roth (fossil collector)
Franz Roth (born August 25, 1837 in Hallstatt , † December 25, 1913 in Hallstatt) was an Austrian miner and fossil collector .
Roth was an employee of the paleontologist Edmund Mojsisovics von Mojsvár , for whom he collected fossils in the Hallstatt area . Mojsisovics named the ammonite species Juvavites rothi after Franz Roth.
Franz Roth was the father of Gottlieb Roth .
