Anasol (* 5. November 1976 in Buenos Aires , Argentina as Anasol Escobar ) is a Colombian pop - singer and songwriter of Argentine origin.

Life

Anasol was born in Buenos Aires, but grew up with her parents in the Colombian capital Bogotá . At the age of 15 she started writing her own songs. After high school, she began studying music at the Universidad Javeriana . In 1999 she released her first solo album . Her second studio album, Astros , came out three years later , produced by Luis Fernando Ochoa , who also worked with Shakira and Ricky Martin . The album was a great success at home and her third album Anasol , released in 2005, followed suit . The single Sentimiento also reached number 31 on the American Billboard Latin Pop Airplay Charts .

In 2010, Anasol starred in the Colombian telenovela Yo no te pido la luna .

In 2018 she released the album La Dama Oscura under the name Sol Escobar .
