Pierre Aussu (born May 26, 1956 in Lifou , New Caledonia ) is a former French football player .

Career

Aussu, who was born in New Caledonia, moved to Corsica in 1975 and was accepted into the SEC Bastia second team that same year . He followed his cousins, the professional footballers Jacques Zimako and Marc-Kanyan Case , who had also started their careers in Corsica. Although the player moved up to the first division team in 1976, he did not play a single game in his first season. Also because Bastia qualified for the UEFA Cup for the 1977/78 season and thus had to play a lot of games, Aussu was able to increase his stakes this year. He played nine times in the league and once in the European Cup. In the latter, Bastia reached the final against PSV Eindhoven , which was lost after a 0-0 first leg with a 3-0 defeat in Eindhoven. Aussu himself was not involved in the final round. The 1978/79 season brought more missions for the New Caledonian, but also the expiry of the contract, which was not extended in 1979.

Thanks to the mediation of his cousin Kanyan, he was still able to stay in Corsica and found a new employer in the second division club Gazélec FC Ajaccio . After a poor first season, which was determined by physical problems, Aussu was able to recover and increase up to 29 played second division games in the 1981/82 season. Despite everything, those responsible in Ajaccio didn't want to keep him busy. As a result, when he was only 26 years old, Aussu decided to end his career. He returned to New Caledonia and learned the profession of police officer.
