Franz Schön

Franz Schön (born July 28, 1893 in Krönau , Moravia ; † April 4, 1957 in Neufeld an der Leitha ) was an Austrian miner and politician ( SDAP ). Schön was married and had 3 children, a member of the Burgenland State Parliament and a member of the National Council .

Schön attended elementary school and then worked as a worker. From 1919 he worked as a coal mine worker in Neufeld and was municipal commissioner from September 9, 1922 to April 13, 1923 and mayor of Neufeld from April 14, 1923 to May 15, 1930. After unproven allegations of corruption, he handed this position over to Karl Hammer (SDAP). In addition, Schön held the function of district party secretary in the Eisenstadt district in 1922 and was a member of the state party executive committee and state party control. Schön was a member of the Burgenland State Parliament from November 13, 1923 to June 24, 1930 and was a member of the National Council from July 13, 1922 to November 20, 1923 . In the course of the February uprising , Franz Schön was taken into protective custody with other social democratic leaders and mandataries on the orders of the Burgenland security director, Colonel Kuczinsky.
