Franz Stahler

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Franz Stähler (* 1956 in Niederzeuzheim , died May 2018 ) was a German sculptor and object artist who mainly created sculptures. He worked mainly in Italy.

Artistic career

In 1975 he started working with ceramic materials. Used bricks and bog oak, naturally blackened over centuries, were soon added. These materials, once used and disposed of, fascinate the artist. His work has been shown in exhibitions in Germany, Italy, France, Egypt and the USA. Several have a permanent place in public space.
