Franz Stampler

Franz Stampler (born October 9, 1953 in Großstübing ) is a former Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and elementary school director. Stampler was a member of the National Council from 1996 to 1999 .

Stampler attended the Großstübing elementary school from 1959 to 1964 and then from 1964 to 1968 the Deutschfeistritz secondary school. As a result, he moved to a secondary school, which he graduated in 1972 with the Matura . Stamper did military service from 1972 to 1973 and graduated from the Pedagogical Academy in Graz - Eggenberg between 1972 and 1974 . After completing his training, Stampler started working as a primary school teacher in 1974 and was promoted to head of a primary school in 1985 and director in 1986. Stampler is the director of the elementary school in Peggau .

Stampler was politically committed between 1980 and 1981 for the ÖVP as Vice Mayor in Großstübing before he took over the office of mayor in 1981. Stampler has held the office of mayor since then and most recently achieved 73.21% of the votes with his party in the 2005 municipal council election. Between February 12, 1996 and October 28, 1999 he represented the ÖVP in the National Council. He left parliament involuntarily after Ridi Steibl was preferred in the list for the 1999 National Council election .
