Ridi Steibl

Maria "Ridi" Steibl (born November 14, 1951 in Wiesental-Vasoldsberg , Styria ) is an Austrian member of parliament ( ÖVP ).

Life

After attending an agricultural vocational school and an office school, she completed an apprenticeship as a communication trainer.

Her first positions in the professional world were the diocese of Graz-Seckau and the management of the woman-family-society department in the office of the Styrian state government. Steibl was local director of the Austrian women's movement in her home town Vasoldsberg from 1983 to 1991, and from 1987 to 1995 she was district director of the Austrian women's movement in the Graz area . From 1989 to 1990 she was a member of the Vasoldsberg municipal council. Steibl was elected to the National Council for the first time in 1994. Since 2000 she has been the parliamentary division spokesperson for family policy . Ridi Steibl is married and has a daughter.
