Franz Valinski (born July 29, 1914 ; † in World War II ) was a German football player .

Player career

Franz Valinski played for Hertha BSC's first team from 1932 . There he did not get past regular goalkeeper Paul Gehlhaar and only played the last season game against BFC Preussen at a time when Hertha's relay victory was already certain. In the course of the championship round of the VBB he was number one in goal and helped his club to victory. As a result, the final round of the German championship in 1933 was reached. However, the Berliners had to admit defeat to SV Hindenburg Allenstein 1: 4 in the first round . The following season Valinski stayed in the Hertha goal, but missed defending his title behind BFC Viktoria 1889 . Also in 1934/35 Valinski was initially part of the team, but Gehlhaar replaced him at the end of the season. Gehlhaar also got preference at the German championship in 1935 , but could not prevent the end in the group stage.

Franz Valinski then left Hertha and went to Berliner SV 92 , where he immediately became the Berlin champion ahead of Minerva 93 and qualified for the 1936 DM finals . There he was used in four out of six games. The BSV was eliminated in third place in the group stage.

In 1941/42 Valinski played one last game for Hertha BSC before falling in World War II.
