Franz Welte

Franz Welte (* 1942 in Lucerne ) is a Swiss journalist .

Life

After completing a commercial apprenticeship, Welte worked as a freelance journalist for the Tages-Anzeiger . In 1970 he switched to what was then Anzeiger , Gross-Anzeiger and General-Anzeiger in St. Gallen. He then worked for the St. Galler Nachrichten for twenty years , of which he became editor-in-chief . In 2010 he handed over editorial management to Bernard Marks . For the St. Galler Nachrichten he put “over 1,000 leading articles on the front page” and wrote “at least twice as many exclusive reports”.
