Franz Xaver Hoop

Franz Xaver Hoop (born September 5, 1886 in Ruggell ; † November 2, 1960 there ) was a Liechtenstein politician ( FBP ).

biography

Franz Xaver Hoop was one of five children of Franz Josef Hoop and his wife Maria (née Öhri). He was a citizen of the Ruggell community and worked as a farmer.

Like his father, he was active in his home community and in state politics. So he was from 1924 to 1927 the municipal council of Ruggell on, held from 1930 to 1939 the post of community leader and was from 1942 to 1945 again member of the council of Ruggell. From 1926 to 1949 Hoop was a member of the state parliament of the Principality of Liechtenstein . From 1933 to 1937 he was a member of the state school board. From 1945 to 1953 he was a councilor in the government of the Principality of Liechtenstein . Hoop was a vehement opponent of the National Socialist aspirations in Liechtenstein.

In 1916 he married Barbara Näscher. The marriage had six children.
