Franz Josef Hoop (politician, 1861)

Franz Josef Hoop (born March 7, 1861 in Ruggell ; † January 15, 1925 there ) was a Liechtenstein politician ( FBP ).

biography

Franz Josef Hoop was the son of Johann Hoop and his wife Anna Maria (nee Hasler). He was a citizen of the Ruggell community and worked as a farmer. From 1885 to 1888 he was a member of the Ruggell parish council. He was then the community treasurer from 1888 to 1891. From 1891 to 1894 he held the first time the post of community leader of Ruggell. From 1897 to 1900 Hoop was deputy mayor. From 1900 to 1912 he was again the community leader. He was also a mediator from 1916 to 1919 and from 1918 to 1921 deputy mayor of Ruggell.

From 1902 to 1922 Hoop was a member of the state parliament of the Principality of Liechtenstein . From 1918 he represented the Progressive Citizens' Party there, of which he was one of the founding members. From 1903 to 1919 he was a lay judge or lay judge at the regional court.

In 1883 he married Maria Öhri. The marriage resulted in five children, including Franz Xaver Hoop .
