Franz Zinecker

Franz Zinecker (born June 25, 1900 ; † unknown) was SS-Obersturmführer and employed as labor service leader in the Buchenwald concentration camp .

Life

Zinecker, a member of the SS , was posted to the Buchenwald concentration camp from June 1941 to April 11, 1945. Initially, Zinecker worked in Buchenwald as a member of the security team, then as a clerk and block leader, and from February 1943 to April 1945 worked as a labor service officer in the Buchenwald concentration camp.

After his arrest, Zinecker was charged with 30 other accused as part of the Dachau trials in the main Buchenwald trial. On August 14, 1947, Zinecker was sentenced to life imprisonment for his position as labor service leader for “helping and participating in the operations of the Buchenwald concentration camp”. Zinecker was probably released from Landsberg War Crimes Prison in the mid to late 1950s . Nothing is known about his further life.
