Franziska Greising

Franziska Greising (* 1943 in Lucerne ) is a Swiss writer.

Life

After going to school in Lucerne, Franziska Greising trained as a kindergarten teacher in Zurich and worked in various Swiss cities. In 1983 she was able to publish her first short story. She has been working as a freelance writer since 1997 and from 2000 to 2007 had a teaching position at the MAZ - Swiss School of Journalism in Lucerne.

Greising has written various plays written in Swiss German and performed on stages in the canton of Lucerne. In 1997 she won first prize in the Central Switzerland theater authors' competition .

Greising has two daughters.
