Franziska Latta (born May 30, 1984 in Potsdam ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ) and from 2011 to 2016 a member of the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt .

biography

After graduating from high school in 2003, Franziska Latta completed a voluntary ecological year at the Berlin Nature Conservation Foundation . Since 2004 she has been studying political science at the University of Halle-Wittenberg . In 2011, she was elected to the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt from her party's state list. She came under fire because, according to statements made by some MPs to the Mitteldeutsche Zeitung, she only took part in state parliament sessions at irregular intervals and finally wanted to suspend her mandate in October 2012 with ongoing payments in order to be able to concentrate on her studies. However, she decided on the state parliament mandate and has since suspended her studies.
