The Franzosenwiesen are a meadow in the Wesertal municipality that runs from the Weser valley near the village of Gewissenruh into the Reinhardswald . The area is crossed by the county road 76 as well as the hiking trails X4 and X14 and the river Landbecke. The meadows got their name from the fact that the French camped on them after the Second World War .
