Frau tv is a TV magazine of the West German Broadcasting Corporation (WDR) in Cologne . The program has been running under this title since 1997 and is broadcast on WDR television on Thursdays at 10 p.m.

The television program claims to depict the reality of life for women. The content of the program is information from society, economy, politics, medicine, which is specifically aimed at women. Frau tv reports on injustices that women still experience today. Issues such as wage inequality , the difficulties of single parents and the special situation of Muslim women in Germany are fixed components of this format.

Frau tv is - after the ZDF broadcast Mona Lisa called itself a society magazine since 2011 - the only women's magazine on German television. There are several topics covered in each issue. Service topics are also included in the format. The broadcaster on the concept: "Today's women's magazine does not need a declaration of war, but an open and clear view of topics relevant to women, which are treated with journalistic care and sometimes with a dose of charm and humor."

Frau tv is moderated by Sabine Heinrich or Lisa Ortgies .
