The Frauenbrunn chapel at what is now the new Traunwalchen cemetery is an octagonal wooden structure with an onion dome, which was built in 1606 by the Pertenstein court lord Count Ladislaus von Törring over a healing spring. This after his sister was cured of an eye disease by enjoying the water. The chapel was the subject of numerous pilgrimages together with the Traunwalchen parish church of the Birth of Mary from the 17th century and was redesigned in Baroque style in the middle of the 18th century. Around 100 votive tablets in the chapel from 1669 to 1946 attest to miraculous healings and rescues by Our Lady. However, the pilgrimage in Traunwalchen declined sharply in the course of the 19th century.

The Frauenbrunnhaus next to the chapel, dating from 1770, is a foundation of Count Emanuel von Törring, it was used as a school house at the time. Today it is owned by the Heimatbund Schloss Pertenstein .
