The National Women's Museum of Norway (Kvinnemuseet) is located in the Norwegian town of Kongsvinger . It documents the history of emancipation and the works of its protagonists . The vision is to create the inspiration for a better society for both women and men. The museum is one of the museums in Glåmdal and is part of the Hedmark Museum .

The museum is housed in one of the listed wooden houses in the upper town and is therefore close to the Kongsvinger fortress . It had been Dagny Juel 's parents' home since 1857 .

The seasonal opening times of the museum can be found on the website. Group visits can be arranged separately. Part of the museum is a library with women-specific literature.
