The institution quickly developed into the starting point for numerous feminist projects, campaigns and publications. Concerts, film evenings, readings and exhibitions were held regularly - and are still being held in the women's café. In 2000 the bookstore moved to the 7th district of Vienna, to Neubau , and in 2007 it had to close.

shotgun

The flinte (formerly a women's café) is organized on a grassroots basis and describes itself as a “feminist pub” and a “place of feminist collectivization and debate”.

“For us, it is not about all people and projects in the shotgun sharing the same policy, but rather that a critical and respectful discussion of feminisms is conducted. To be an open space in which it is recognized that there is no such thing as feminism, but does not mean arbitrariness - the prerequisite for all debates is that our anti-discriminatory principles are shared.
