Freakuency is a Swiss music group from Baden . In their music they combine ska , punk , crossover , reggae and rap .

In addition to the classic rock composition with guitar, bass and drums, there is also a DJ at Freakuency. The band has already gained a lot of live experience through their numerous appearances.

Band history

In 1998 only two friends Lucas Tuttle and Benji Wernli practiced music together in the basement of their parents' house, with Benji Wernli still playing the drums at the time. Some time later, the DJ Oliver Klarer came along and took a left-handed drummer (Silvan Mathis) with him, which is why Benji Wernli switched to bass from then on. From now on, the set-up of the drums had to be mirrored . The occasional jams in 2000 turned into songs that Lucas Tuttle wrote and sang in his native English, songs into a repertoire and the repertoire into the first concert. Meanwhile, the freaks , as they are called by fans, regularly play concerts and are very well known in the Baden region.

The musicians of Freakuency do not focus on a certain style of music, but try to combine elements of different genres in their music.

The four musicians have been living in a shared house in Neuenhof since 2005 . A year later her debut album 1% came out on the label Freakout Records.
