Fred Baumert

Fred Baumert (* around 1942) is a German musician (guitar).

Baumert belonged to the Music Stromers as a solo guitarist from the early 1960s (until 1965). After completing his studies, Günther Fischer brought him into his band in 1969 , with whom there were also recordings with Manfred Krug , Uschi Brüning and Eberhard Büchner . In 1973 he also went on a GDR tour with the All Star Band '73 . In 1978 there were also radio productions in a trio with Wolfgang Greiser and Wolfgang Schneider . He also worked as a studio musician and was a lecturer at the “Hanns Eisler” University of Music in Berlin . He also entertained guitar duos, first with his student Hansi Benicke (three titles are documented on the Amiga sampler Kleeblatt No. 13: Guitar Workshop ), then with Jürgen Heckel. He can also be heard on albums by Klaus Lenz and Reinhard Lakomy .
