Life

He was one of two sons of the merchant and trader Georg Heinrich Reinhardt from Langensalza and his wife Friedericke Salome née Moßburg. His father died on May 12, 1753 during the Easter mass in Leipzig at the age of 57. At that time he was the chairman of the Chamber of Commerce in Langensalza. He was buried on May 15, 1753 in the Johannisfriedhof in Leipzig. At that time, Friedrich Christian Reinhardt was already working as the Royal Polish and Electoral Saxon General Excise Secretary in Langensalza. Later he was transferred to the office of an excise officer and district tax collector in the Thuringian district, who was responsible for taking the drink tax and imposte. Reinhardt took the mayor's daughter Ludolphina Eloenorea, born Hagenbruch, as his wife. According to his own statements, he cited the reason for his application to be awarded the title of nobility that he was related to noble families in the region and that he was wealthy.

On February 23, 1788 Friedrich Christian Reinhardt bought an aristocratic diploma from the imperial chancellery of Joseph II, which gave him and his heirs the right to use the titles of Edler von Reinhardt and Reichsritter and to bear the coat of arms mentioned below. The elevation of his family to the nobility was made public in the Electorate of Saxony on September 22, 1788. His older brother Johann Heinrich Reinhardt, born on June 18, 1726, like his father, became a merchant and trader in Langensalza and remained a middle-class, especially since he had fallen out of favor at the court of the Duke of Saxe-Gotha in the mid-1760s and had been imprisoned in Gotha then spent several years outside the country in Vienna .

When Friedrich Christian Edler von Reinhardt died in Langensalza in 1795, he left behind the son Friedrich Christian Edler von Reinhardt, who was born on December 4, 1772 in Langensalza, who served as a lieutenant in the Saxon Garde du Corps and the daughter Christiana Friedericka Eleonora von Usedom, born Reinhardt.
