Fred Green (athlete)
Fred Green (actually Frederick Green; born July 25, 1926 ) is a former British long-distance runner .
In 1954 he won silver over three miles for England starting at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Vancouver .
In the same year he became English champion over the same distance.
