Fred Radcliffe
Fred Radcliffe (* around 1915 , † after 1947) was an American jazz musician ( drums ) of the late swing era.
Fred Radcliffe played for Lionel Hampton in 1943/44 ; with a sextet from its orchestra, he took part in Dinah Washington's first record session for the record label Keynote Records ("Evil Gal Blues" / "Salty Papa Blues"). In the following years he worked with Earl Bostic , Don Byas , Herbie Fields , Les Paul , Earl Warren , and Arnett Cobb . In the field of jazz he was involved in 31 recording sessions between 1943 and 1947.
