Freddy Kalas (* 1990 ; actually Fredrik Auke ) is a Norwegian musician from Drammen .

biography

Fredrik Auke has been making music since he was twelve years old. He had his first success in 2011 with the song Cannabus together with his younger brother Simen as SimenA feat. Freddy Genius. But then the brother had the big breakthrough: Together with his friend Mikkel Christiansen, he founded the DJ duo Broiler , which had a number of party hits from 2012.

At the end of 2014, Fredrik Auke tried his hand at a party hit and released the song Pinne for Landet under the stage name Freddy Kalas . In January 2015 it rose to number one in the Norwegian charts and stayed there for three weeks. The two following singles missed the top 20, but at the end of the year a second hit followed with Hey Ho , which made it to second place. This song was also successful in neighboring Sweden, where it reached the top ten.

In 2016 he took part in the Melodi Grand Prix , the Norwegian preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest . With the title Feel da Rush , he took second place in the final.
