Frederick Collier Bakewell

Frederick Collier Bakewell (born September 29, 1800 in Wakefield , West Yorkshire , † September 26, 1869 in Hampstead , Middlesex ) was a British physicist.

Bakewell was a pioneer of picture telegraphy . In 1847 he developed the first functional copy graph that used a non-conductive roller as a transmitter, on which conductive ink was written.
