theology

An ARD journalist asked Frei Betto in 2013 if it wasn't frustrating to be reprimanded by the Vatican for decades. Betto said this was normal and: "Jesus and all the prophets suffered. We tolerated this with a lot of calm and faith. We have never provoked ruptures within the church. All divisions, heresies and ruptures since the 20th century have been made by the Caused by the conservatives and traditionalists. "
