Freiburg Lebenswert (FL) is a registered association of voters in Freiburg im Breisgau .
history
The list originally emerged from the "Forum Citizens' Initiatives for Sustainable Urban Development" (FBNS), an amalgamation of around 15 Freiburg citizens' initiatives, which emerged on the initiative of the Freiburg Citizens' Association (AFB) and opposed the building policy in Freiburg.
At the beginning of December 2013, Freiburg Lebenswert eV was founded as a non-profit association in order to compete for municipal council elections with its own list. The discussion about the location of a new SC Freiburg stadium in Wolfswinkel attracted a lot of visitors, especially in the west of the city. On May 25, 2014, FL entered the municipal council election as a free electoral list and received three seats on the municipal council and thus parliamentary group status. Together with the list for Freiburg , which was given a seat in the municipal council, the three city councilors form the four-member parliamentary group Freiburg Lebenswert / Für Freiburg (FL / FF).
In February 2019, the electoral association was the only political group in the municipal council to side with the critics of the new Dietenbach district .
In the municipal council elections in May 2019, Freiburg Lebenswert received 4.5 percent of the vote. Compared to the 2014 municipal council election, they lost 1.1 percent and one seat on the municipal council.
Content orientation
Under the buzzwords cityscape , citizen participation , quality of life and affordable housing , the guidelines of the electoral association also include topics such as social diversity in the neighborhoods, nature conservation, the preservation of green spaces and the strengthening of monument protection. The electoral association expressly sees itself as ideologically and politically independent.
