The Freiherr-von-Vincke-Realschule in the East Westphalian city of Minden is one of two Realschulen in the city , along with the Käthe-Kollwitz School, and is therefore one of the secondary schools . It includes students in grades 5–10. and concludes with an intermediate level of education .
history
The Freiherr-von-Vincke-Realschule emerges from the community school in the upper old town of Minden. In 2011 it celebrated its 175th anniversary. After the Second World War , two secondary schools were re-approved in Minden: a secondary school for girls and a secondary school for boys. On November 29, 1967, the secondary school for boys was renamed Freiherr-von-Vincke-Realschule, after the Prussian reformer Ludwig von Vincke , who came from Minden . The coeducation was introduced in 1978 again, the school is now revisited by girls. For the school year 1987 it was decided to move the school to a new building on the western outskirts in the district of Hahlen ; there was more space here to implement school operations in a school-friendly manner. Construction began that same year, and the last classes moved in 1994. 1988 has been building high school integrated into the Vincke-school. The Freiherr-von-Vincke-Realschule has been an all-day school since 2009 .
location
The new location of the Freiherr-von-Vincke-Realschule was for years the urban development area of the city of Minden in the northwest of the city north of the Mittelland Canal. The new Bärenkämpen district was created here .
