Bärenkämpen is a district of the East Westphalian city ​​of Minden and is located in the northwest of the city. The district north of the Mittelland Canal was mainly developed in the 1960s, making it the largest new development area from the time after the Second World War between the city center and Mindenerheide. Apartments for around 10,000 residents have been built here. Bärenkämpen is characterized by a large number of multi-storey apartment buildings.

Until the 1990s, the district was still the home of many British soldiers from the nearby Kingsley barracks, but a structural change takes place after that. Many repatriates and ethnic German repatriates from the area of ​​the former Soviet Union and the former Eastern Bloc moved into the vacant apartments . Over 50 nationalities live in Bärenkämpen.
