Location of Päpinghausen in Minden

Päpinghausen is a part of Minden , North Rhine-Westphalia, and lies east of the Weser . It borders directly on the state border with the Lower Saxony district of Schaumburg , there on the city of Bückeburg , district Cammer and the city of Petershagen , district Frille . In terms of population, it is by far the smallest of the Minden districts. The Bückeburger Aue flows through Päpinghausen and flows into the Weser at Lahde .

history

The cluster village Päpinghausen was first mentioned in 1022 in the Traditiones Corbeienses as Pepenghus (un).

On January 1, 1973 Päpinghausen was incorporated into the district town of Minden.

Industry

Settlement of the industrial area Minden Ost II. An expansion of the industrial area Päpinghausen with the settlement of a container port on the Mittelland Canal is planned . In 2010 a new technology center of Kavlico GmbH was opened at the production site in Minden-Päpinghausen , which is intended to secure the location of the company in Minden.
