history

In 1168 Frille was first mentioned in a document as "Vrigelde". Since Frille was of interest to both the nobles from the mountains and the Counts of Schaumburg, this led to a two-part village.

In 1885 the border between Prussia and Schaumburg-Lippe was determined. After a long effort, the two communities were finally united on October 1, 1971 and now formed one community in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia with an increase in the number of inhabitants by 355 at that time and an area increase by 3.43 km².

Until the municipal reorganization on 1 January 1973 Frille and was a separate municipality now km² with a total area of around 1,059 inhabitants 10.58 (31 December 1972) and belonged to the Office Windheim to Lahde in Minden . Frille had 1221 inhabitants on December 31, 2008 and has seen a high increase since the regional reform.

The Protestant parish continues to belong to the Evangelical Lutheran Regional Church of Schaumburg-Lippe .

politics

The population of Frille has been represented to the council and administration of the city of Petershagen since 1973 by a local mayor, who is elected by the city council of Petershagen on the basis of the election result. Currently (2014) Karl-Heinz Rodenbeck is the local mayor.

The memorial stone was erected in 1997 by the Frille cultural community. The Jewish synagogue, which was destroyed during the November pogroms in 1938 , stood near this stone .

Friller costume

The Friller costume is a variation of the Schaumburg costume with the typical red skirts. The men wear a long white linen smock with a red lining.

Historical border

Heraldic shields on the former border

The border can still be traced on the houses today. Small coats of arms are clearly visible on the street side. The coat of arms with the horse (Low German "Perd") can be found on the Prussian side and with the nettle leaf (Low German "Niertelblatt") for the Schaumburg-Lippische side in Frille.

For about 700 years the border through Frille ran between the Kingdom of Prussia and the Principality of Schaumburg-Lippe . It followed neither the Bückeburger Aue nor the Riehe, a tributary of the Gehle . The border ran through the middle of the settlement in a tangle of curves and angles. The border of “Preußisch Frille” formed several enclaves of “Bückeburgisch Frille”, in whose enclave there was again an enclave of “Preußisch Frille”.
