Ilvese [ ˈɪlvəzə ] is a district of the city of Petershagen in the Minden-Lübbecke district in the East Westphalia-Lippe region of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia .

geography

Ilvese is about 12 km north of the Petershäger town center and is divided into two areas: the village where most of the Ilves people live and the wood, where the houses are spaced apart. The village borders Heimsen in the north and Döhren in the south . To the east lies Seelenfeld and to the west, separated by the Weser , Buchholz . In Ilvese the Gehle also flows into the Weser.

history

Until the municipal reorganization on 1 January 1973 Ilvese was a separate municipality in office Windheim to Lahde in Minden and km² with 6.94 607 inhabitants (31 December 1972).

politics

The population of Ilvese has been represented in relation to the council and administration of the city of Petershagen since 1973 by a mayor who is elected by the council of the city of Petershagen on the basis of the election result. In 2009, the term mayor was replaced by mayor.

Michael Krüger is the local mayor.

Culture and sights

The most popular festival is the village community festival . It is always on the first weekend in September and takes place behind the village community center. Almost all Ilvesians take part in the harvest parade . For this purpose, harvest wagons are built every year.
