Ilse is a district of Petershagen in the Minden-Lübbecke district in East Westphalia .

geography

It is located around 6 km northeast of the city ​​center ; to the east, Ilse borders the district of Rosenhagen , to the north to the districts of Neuenknick and Döhren , to the west to the districts of Windheim and Jössen and to the south to the districts of Gorspen-Vahlsen , Ilserheide and Raderhorst .

history

Until the municipal reorganization on 1 January 1973 and Ilse was km² an independent municipality with a total of around 5.92 488 inhabitants (31 December 1972) and belonged to the Office Windheim to Lahde in Minden . On December 31, 2008, Ilse had 416 inhabitants.

Culture and sights

  • In 1998, during archaeological excavations, 20 women's graves with rich decorations were discovered. In the meantime, scientists have solved the riddle of the more than 2500 year old women's graves in Ilse . The finds have been in the Westphalian Museum of Archeology in Herne since 2003 .
