Walter Waldhör (born September 21, 1968 in Kirchdorf an der Krems ) is an Upper Austrian football player.

His professional career began in July 1987 at SK Vorwärts Steyr , was loaned out at short notice (September – December 1988) to the then Wolfsberger AC , played 1989/90 for SV Grün-Weiß Micheldorf in the Upper Austrian regional league. From July 1990 he stayed with Steyr for 4 years. Start coach Otto Barić was very keen on the lively striker and so his missions became more and more frequent and his goal account increased steadily. In 1992 he made the leap to the national team under team boss Ernst Happel , on his debut in the international match against Poland in Salzburg in May he scored for the first, but only time, for the ÖFB team just ten minutes after being substituted on. His best season for the forward he had in the 1991/92 season, in which he was able to score 7 goals.

Even then, he was known above all as a so-called wing racer and preparer, less as a goalscorer.

In July 1994 the Almtaler moved to the former Bundesliga club FC Linz . With this team, however, he could not prevail against the star striker Christian Stumpf and the talented Ronald Brunmayr .

His last stop in his professional career was SV Ried from January 1996 . There he could once again show all his skills. The last big highlight was the game in March 1997 against record champions SK Rapid Wien . In this game "Wauki" (as he is called by his fans) put on two goals and scored the third himself.

In January 1998 he ended his professional career and returned to his parent club Union Pettenbach , where he worked as a player-coach until December 31, 2008 and started working again as a coach from July 1, 2014. In between he was still a coach for less than eight months (October 2009 to May 15, 2010) at SV Grieskirchen and then at SV Micheldorf "already known" (July 2010 - June 2014) (source: www.transfermarkt.at).
